DESCRIPTION:Possessed + Sinsaenum +  Boundless Chaos \n\nPossessed ist eine US-amerikanische Death-Metal-Band\, die ursprünglich 1983 gegründet wurde. Bekannt für ihren schnellen Spielstil und Jeff Becerras Growl-Gesang\, gelten sie oft als die erste Band des Death-Metal-Genres und ebneten zusammen mit Metallica\, Exodus\, Testament und Death Angel den Weg für die Thrash-Metal-Szene der Bay Area in den 1980er Jahren. Die Band ist außerdem bemerkenswert\, da das spätere Primus-Mitglied Larry LaLonde von 1984 bis 1987 Leadgitarrist von Possessed war.\n\nNach ihrer Auflösung 1987 und einer Neugründung von 1990 bis 1993 formierte sich die Band 2007 mit dem ursprünglichen Bassisten und Sänger Jeff Becerra erneut. Seit ihrer Gründung hat Possessed drei Studioalben veröffentlicht: „Seven Churches“\, „Beyond the Gates“ und „Revelations of Oblivion“ sowie ein Live-Album\, zwei Kompilationsalben und zwei EPs.\n\n//\n\nPossessed is an American death metal band\, originally formed in 1983. Noted for their fast style of playing and Jeff Becerra's growled vocals\, they are often\ncalled the fi rst band in the death metal genre\, and paved the way for the 1980s Bay Area thrash metal scene\, along with Metallica\, Exodus\, Testament and\nDeath Angel.
